Warm and cuddly, soft and cute, My cherub in a kitty suit. In a ball so tightly curled, Far away in your dream world. Whiskers twitch and then paws jerk. Could you be dreaming of "mousework"? You start awake and look around, Then, stand and stretch and yawn so round. I feel your gaze across the room. As our eyes meet, you start to groom. You lick a paw and rub your face, And comb each hair neatly in place. You stroll across the room to me. My lap is empty, as you see. Onto my lap you leap with grace A look of smugness on your face.
